Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: Flexible hybrid model; positions may be based in the Boston or Dublin offices, with in-person interviews potentially required.

Salary: $137,000–$171,000 USD annual base salary / OTE.

What you will do

• Design, deliver, and operate scalable cloud platform capabilities and lead complex multi-sprint initiatives through production.
• Manage HCP Terraform workspaces, module governance, and Sentinel/Semgrep policy enforcement.
• Expand HashiCorp Vault adoption, dynamic secrets, PKI/CA, transit encryption, and short-lived AWS credentials.
• Operate governed Amazon Bedrock infrastructure with access controls, cost attribution, quotas, and anomaly detection.
• Expand AWS self-service provisioning and improve GitHub Actions, CircleCI, runner observability, and pipeline supply-chain security.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate across infrastructure and product teams, participate in on-call rotations, and improve reliability through incident response.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in hands-on DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Production AWS experience with IAM, S3, Lambda, EKS, ElastiCache, EC2, and related services.
• Strong Terraform experience, including HCP Terraform, remote state, module design, and workspace governance.
• Hands-on experience with Sentinel or Semgrep, HashiCorp Vault, dynamic secrets, PKI/CA, and short-lived credential models.
• Deep experience with GitHub Actions infrastructure, runners, composite actions, GHES/GHEC, and supply-chain security.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar scripting or programming language, plus strong technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CircleCI or similar pipeline systems.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, LLM API cost structures, CloudZero, or AWS Cost Explorer.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Amazon Q.
