TL;DR

Senior Commercial Counsel (AI): Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial AI SaaS contracts and technology agreements with an accent on IP licensing and commercial law. Focus on enabling fast execution of customer agreements and supporting go-to-market teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, or Dallas (3 days/week), or fully remote if based within the US

Salary: $210,000 – $265,000 USD (Offers Equity)

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and other technology agreements.
  • Develop resources and provide training to support sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with go-to-market, business, Engineering, Product, and Security teams.
  • Ensure fast and efficient execution of customer agreements.
  • Contribute to various other aspects of legal work to support company growth.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one jurisdiction and able to practice in Illinois.
  • 10+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • Transactional background with strong experience in complex SaaS, technology, and IP licensing.
  • Must be based in the USA.
  • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with AI technologies.
  • Experience supporting Go-To-Market and Sales functions.
  • Passion for solving hard problems within a small, tight-knit team.
