TL;DR

Product Designer (AI): Designing the core user experience for an AI engineering agent named Archie with an accent on complex industrial workflows and human-AI collaboration. Focus on building interaction patterns, product architecture, and visual language for a new category of engineering tools.

Location: Must be based in the US or Canada, or able to relocate to San Mateo, CA. Hybrid requirement: Remote employees must work on-site in San Mateo one week out of every six.

Compensation: $200,000 – $275,000 + Equity

hirify.global is a Series A startup building Archie, an AI engineer agent designed to function as a human teammate for physical engineering teams.

What you will do

• Design the core user experience for how engineers assign work, review results, and collaborate with an AI teammate.
• Translate complex design-partner conversations into wireframes, prototypes, and actionable product decisions.
• Conduct user research by observing engineers in real-world tasks to iterate on the product experience.
• Build and maintain the product design system, including interaction patterns and visual language.
• Partner with frontend and AI engineers to ship product features and refine the experience based on feedback.
• Define how the AI communicates uncertainty and handles high-trust engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing products for technical users in complex or expert-driven domains.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to turn confusing workflows into clear, powerful product experiences.
• Expertise in interaction design, product architecture, prototyping, and visual craft.
• Ability to work from first principles in a new product category.
• Comfortable working across the full design spectrum from low-fidelity sketches to implementation details.
• Must be based in the US or Canada, or willing to relocate to San Mateo, CA.
