Purchasing Expeditor (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Fairport, New York, United States; office and factory environment with safety glasses required on the factory floor.

Salary: $15.38–$28.46 per hour

What you will do

• Manage supplier open purchase orders for direct materials supporting production demand.
• Obtain purchase order acknowledgements and confirmations from suppliers.
• Expedite late or at-risk materials and coordinate recovery actions.
• Maintain accurate promise dates, quantities, and notes in Oracle.
• Monitor shortage and exception reports and communicate material risks to production, inventory control, and buyers.
• Escalate chronic supplier or delivery issues and support shipping and delivery issue resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in material coordination, expediting, or purchasing support.
