Supply Chain Specialist

TL;DR

Supply Chain Specialist (Procurement & Planning): Developing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing procurement and planning processes across the company with an accent on BOM review, MRP-based forecasting, and vendor management. Focus on analyzing supply/demand, purchasing goods and services to cost/quality/delivery targets, and ensuring continuity of supply through ERP/MPS-driven planning.

Location: Onsite – Cleveland, OH (also Highland Heights, OH)

Salary: $68,000.00–$88,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Review bills of material (BOMs) and drawings for planning/forecasting accuracy and maintain flow of jobs and orders.
• Collect and analyze usage/demand data to recommend reorder points and safety stock quantities for components and finished goods.
• Support procurement: sourcing, negotiating, buying goods/materials/services aligned to cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Manage vendor assessment and performance improvement; prepare purchase orders and resolve price/quality/delivery/invoice issues.
• Analyze procurement and planning systems/processes to improve quality and efficiency; apply independent judgment for price/quality/delivery tradeoffs.
• Coordinate cross-functionally (Purchasing, PIC, Production, Operations) and communicate supply risks and impacts to stakeholders.

Requirements

• U.S. Security Clearance: ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in supply chain, business, engineering, or accounting plus 3+ years relevant supply chain procurement experience; or Associate’s degree plus 5+ years relevant experience.
• 3+ years experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory control.
• 3+ years experience working with MPS/ERP systems.
• Ability to read and understand bills of materials; proficient with Microsoft Office productivity tools.
• Strong communication, organizational/time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks while ensuring quality.

Nice to have

• 3+ years experience in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
• 5+ years experience working in an electronics environment
• Background in business systems and logistics
