What you will do
- Oversee pre-op and/or tear down depending on shift and coordinate line setup.
- Review production issues, production schedule orders, and product specifications to prevent downtime.
- Train and direct 12–40 employees; assign personnel to work stations and provide associate training as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement across the plant and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance.
- Ensure specification compliance, maintain legible documentation, and manage lot tracking, waste, quality checks, and production/standards records.
- Work safely at all times and remain on the floor for 95% of the shift; support cross-training across production and packaging lead areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining flexible and able to work in a team environment.
- English: Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and production reports (e.g., product usage, packaging, lot tracking, labor tracking, waste control, daily worksheets).
- Weekend work is required and a flexible schedule is required.
