Second Shift Warehouse Manager

Location: Jessup, Maryland, United States; on-site, second shift

What you will do

• Coordinate second-shift picking, packing, loading, shipping, and inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
• Direct hourly associates, communicate daily workload and assignments, and coordinate priorities with warehouse leadership, corporate departments, and vendors.
• Support recruitment, hiring, training, performance accountability, and termination decisions for hourly associates.
• Maintain safe work practices, associate morale, teamwork, and operational accountability.
• Perform warehouse floor tasks using material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, swing-reach forklifts, reach forklifts, and order pickers.
• Track payroll and associate hours, manage schedules, support budget planning, and control operating expenses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years of experience in a warehouse processing environment.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for team performance and accountability.
• Experience with warehouse and distribution technology, including RF scan guns and warehouse management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to continuously walk, stand, squat, reach, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds; ability to learn Microsoft Office, FedEx Ship Manager, and Adobe Acrobat.
