What you will do

• Design and implement scalable distributed core services and backend platform components using TypeScript and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop reliable asynchronous architectures utilizing Kafka for event streaming and Temporal for workflow orchestration.
• Evolve and scale enterprise-grade authentication and authorization frameworks to ensure secure data access.
• Optimize and scale document-based storage systems (MongoDB) to handle high-throughput workloads.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Core Infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with company goals.
• Advocate for clean coding patterns and robust architectural standards across the backend organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a specialized focus on backend and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and production experience with Temporal, Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Proven experience delivering high-impact solutions within fast-paced Series B or Series C startup environments.
• Strong background in the B2B SaaS space building applications that scale for enterprise customers.
• Demonstrated success contributing to complex data pipelines and identity/access systems.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Jose, California.
