Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States). Prioritizing candidates in hub cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, and Austin.

Salary: $172,000 – $200,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and develop high-scale backend services to process approximately 2 billion assets daily.
• Optimize pipeline latency and solve complex scalability issues within a distributed ecosystem.
• Lead the migration of existing TypeScript/Node.js services to Go.
• Manage and tune performance for PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ML, Web, Mobile, and Data Science teams to integrate pipeline features.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Deep proficiency in TypeScript backend patterns, Node.js, and async behavior.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices capable of handling massive data ingestion.
• Proficiency in Go or a strong willingness to scale up quickly.
• Experience with AWS (EKS, SQS, SNS) and Docker.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification, including a fingerprint-based background check.
