Senior Engineering Technician (Nuclear)

Salary: $41 – $56 per hour

What you will do

• Fabricate piece parts to print using mill, lathe, welders, metal forming tools, and hand tools.
• Own the assembly and commissioning of test rigs and production builds.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause investigation of mechanical, electrical, thermal, and pneumatic issues.
• Partner with engineers to develop solutions and improvements for hardware design and fabrication.
• Build and maintain the prototype shop at the El Segundo headquarters.
• Ensure high operational standards regarding safety, reliability, and cleanliness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fabrication or assembly work experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, interpret tolerances, and read fluid or electrical schematics.
• Experience in manufacturing using machine tools, saws, and grinders.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted and work at elevated heights.
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• No visa sponsorship available; must be compliant with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• CNC programming and manual machine operation skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T interpretation and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with lifting, rigging, and heavy crane operations.
