What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex automobile liability, property damage, bodily injury, and general liability claims.
• Independently manage a high-volume caseload of approximately 150–175 claims arising from transit operations.
• Analyze coverage, liability, causation, damages, reserves, and claim exposure to determine resolution strategies.
• Conduct interviews and review accident reports, medical records, repair estimates, photographs, and supporting documentation.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, vendors, and other parties.
• Coordinate with defense counsel, support litigation management, and prepare claim evaluations and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of relevant claims experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience handling moderate to complex automobile liability, bodily injury, property damage, or general liability claims, typically reserved at $25,000 or greater.
• Strong knowledge of liability investigation, bodily injury claim handling, damage assessment, and settlement practices.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, Maryland.
