Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Military Focus)

TL;DR

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Military Focus) (Behavioral Health): Providing evidence-based virtual behavioral health support to service members with an accent on brief counseling, treatment planning, and readiness evaluations. Focus on utilizing the MHS model of care, performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, and managing clinical documentation in MHS Genesis.

Location: Remote (USA), with mandatory two-week on-site onboarding in San Antonio, TX

What you will do

• Provide evidence-based virtual counseling for individuals and groups with low-to-moderate acuity mental health needs.
• Develop and document comprehensive treatment plans focused on restoration and rehabilitation.
• Use DSM criteria to identify symptoms, establish diagnoses, and guide therapeutic planning.
• Conduct readiness-related evaluations, including duty-status assessments and Medical Evaluation Board support.
• Maintain patient electronic medical records in MHS Genesis within strictly defined timeframes.
• Participate in staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted, independent LCSW license from any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C.
• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited school.
• Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in psychotherapy and behavioral treatment planning.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (6:30 PM – 10:30 AM EST) to support global time zones.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be able to complete a two-week on-site onboarding in San Antonio, TX.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Clinical Social Worker using virtual platforms within the Military Health System (MHS).
• Proficiency in using MHS GENESIS.
• Experience administering Active-Duty Profiles and fitness for duty determinations.
