Mental Health Therapist (1099 Contractor, Rhode Island)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be a full-time US resident, have office space in the Rhode Island area, and be able to serve clients in Cumberland. In-person care is strongly preferred.

What you will do

• Provide culturally responsive, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
• Support clients across a broad spectrum of mental health needs, from mild presentations to complex and severe cases.
• Deliver care remotely and, where possible, in person through a private or group practice.
• Manage clinical risk and respond to client crises as needed.
• Use Lyra tools for scheduling, invoicing, and provider support.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree from a clinical track, such as MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC, PhD, or PsyD.
• Unrestricted independent license such as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent, with no current, past, or pending disciplinary action.
• Experience providing evidence-based treatments such as ACT, CBT, CPT, or DBT.
• Experience with measurement-based care, skills practice, clinical risk management, and crisis response.
• Full-time US residency and office space enabling client care in the Rhode Island area are required.
