What you will do

  • Design and program electrical controls for custom assembly applications, including hardware specification and schematics.
  • Facilitate advanced troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment in collaboration with maintenance teams.
  • Ensure machine safety by applying relevant codes and updating design specifications.
  • Support new product development by collaborating on assembly and testing solutions.
  • Implement automated manufacturing technology, including robotics, vision systems, and motion control.
  • Develop business cases and capital expenditure requests for new controls hardware.

Requirements

  • BSEE from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in controls design, panel construction, and PLC programming in a high-volume assembly environment.
  • Knowledge of robotics, motion control, vision systems, and variable frequency drives.
  • Functional knowledge of machine safety, wiring standards, and network architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
