Real Estate Manager

Location: Hybrid; IL Statewide, Illinois, US, or Providence, Rhode Island, US

Salary: $74,961–$164,800 estimated starting compensation

What you will do

• Lead real estate and workplace projects from planning and site selection through design, construction, relocation, and completion.
• Define project scope and manage budgets, schedules, risks, approvals, and portfolio priorities with internal stakeholders.
• Manage architects, engineers, contractors, and third-party vendors on projects involving warehouses, labs, data centers, and complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Legal, IT, EHS, Sustainability, Security, Finance, Facilities, and HR to deliver project outcomes.
• Present recommendations and project updates to senior leadership while building consensus across business units and external partners.
• Improve real estate portfolio performance through market analysis, lease strategy, negotiations, benchmarking, portfolio reviews, and critical lease-date management.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience managing commercial, industrial, or corporate real estate development and construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheet, and scheduling or tracking tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, space planning, plan reviews, quantity takeoffs, and project collaboration.
• Knowledge of RFP development, bid management, vendor negotiations, permitting, building codes, lease and construction contracts, and sustainable building practices.
• Understanding of data centers, laboratories, warehouses, and projects with complex electrical and mechanical requirements.

Nice to have

• PMP, MCRE, LEED, OSHA 10/30, or similar certifications.
• Strong analytical skills.
