is a leading European provider of fast-charging stations for electric vehicles, aiming to build a network of 1,000 stations to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.
What you will do
- Define and execute the UK network development strategy, including target geographies, site typologies, and partnership models.
- Lead the identification, negotiation, and execution of new EV charging site opportunities with landlords, roadside operators, and local authorities.
- Independently structure high-value leasehold, freehold, and licence agreements to meet financial performance targets.
- Manage a pipeline of contracted sites, maintaining rigorous discipline over timelines and internal reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, planning, construction, and legal teams to ensure seamless station launches.
- Act as a senior thought leader and ambassador, mentoring colleagues and representing the company at industry events.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK with willingness for regular domestic travel and occasional travel to Europe.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate site acquisition or development, ideally in roadside, retail, or infrastructure.
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or demonstrable equivalent professional standing.
- Proven track record of high-value negotiations and an active network of stakeholders in the UK property market.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Outstanding communication skills for presenting to internal leadership and external C-suite counterparts.
Nice to have
- Experience in ultra-rapid EV charging, renewable energy, or fast-growth companies.
- Knowledge of grid connections and working with DNOs, IDNOs, and ICPs.
- Familiarity with the UK planning system (NPPF, permitted development rights).
- Strong financial literacy, including experience with financial models, yield, IRR, and NPV.
