Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. Hybrid working, with 60% of the week spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do
- Lead a team of five security engineers responsible for workplace technology security.
- Deliver the Platform Security roadmap, embedding new processes, tooling, AI capabilities, and operating models.
- Maintain prevention capability, service reliability, operational performance, and measurable security outcomes.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a diverse, inclusive, high-performing security engineering team.
- Communicate cyber risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
- Embed a product and service-oriented approach focused on measurable customer and organisational outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience leading and managing technical teams, including coaching, performance development, and technical hiring.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise workplace technologies, including Microsoft 365, DLP, email security, Windows and Mac client hardening, and Active Directory.
- Ability to define and execute strategic roadmaps and translate complex challenges into actionable plans.
- Strong communication and influencing skills for explaining cyber risks to senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading organisational change while maintaining service continuity.
- Foundational understanding of applying AI and automation to cybersecurity, especially for efficiency and decision-making.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of retail systems and how cyber risk affects customers and business outcomes.
- Understanding of cyber incident management and escalation frameworks.
- Experience with product methodologies, service-oriented delivery, data analytics, budgets, vendors, or procurement.
- Awareness of responsible AI governance and engineering development lifecycle concepts.
- GIAC, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
