OT Infrastructure Integration Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Glasgow, Dundee, or Aberdeen, United Kingdom; the role may include global travel for international projects.

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, and maintain VMware, physical server, and virtual server environments.
• Support Windows and Linux infrastructure platforms and host OT and industrial applications.
• Configure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, storage, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery services.
• Implement highly available and resilient infrastructure for critical OT systems, including hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform system, application, and infrastructure testing and validation, including FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production go-live activities.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs, build guides, test plans, validation evidence, and as-built documentation while collaborating with OT, cybersecurity, network, application, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent Linux platforms.
• Experience deploying physical and virtual servers, hosting applications, and working with Dell, HPE, or equivalent enterprise hardware.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, networking, VLANs, firewalls, segmentation, and server lifecycle management.
• Experience with high availability, clustering, SAN, NAS, enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, system testing, validation, and acceptance activities.
• Experience producing technical infrastructure and testing documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience in OT, industrial, energy, utilities, or critical national infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NCSC CAF, or OT cybersecurity principles.
