Cyber Security Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid attendance at Head Office in Greater Manchester, UK; this is not a remote role.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security solutions across cloud, infrastructure, applications, networks, and endpoints.
• Secure Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments, including identity, privileged access, and cloud-native security controls.
• Engineer SIEM, SOAR, EDR, monitoring, detection, automated response, and incident investigation capabilities.
• Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration-test remediation, risk reviews, and security architecture standards.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines through secure coding, automated scanning, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code reviews.
• Improve network, endpoint, WAF, API, DDoS, segmentation, compliance, and security automation controls.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer, or similar.
• Strong understanding of modern cybersecurity principles, security architecture, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, network security, WAF, security automation, and cloud security controls.
• Strong experience securing Microsoft Azure environments and supporting DevSecOps initiatives.
• Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Terraform.
• Recognised cybersecurity qualification such as Security+, ISC2 CC/SSCP, SC-200, AZ-500, or GSEC.

Nice to have

• SC-100, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, OSCP, Terraform Associate, or additional GIAC certifications.
