Factory Buyer

What you will do

• Execute projects and purchases based on stakeholder needs and current policies.
• Lead local and regional sourcing and contracting processes.
• Drive supplier development and optimize the supplier base for quality, capacity, and cost.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve performance.
• Negotiate contracts, manage bank guarantees, and ensure legal compliance.
• Implement process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SAP ERP.
• Fluency in English.
• Must be based in Mexico (Mexicali or Querétaro); no visa sponsorship or relocation available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Ariba or other e-procurement tools.
