Location: Must be based in the United States. This role requires regular travel (1-2 times per month) to meet with state agency stakeholders.
Salary: $130,000–$160,000 base + variable compensation.

What you will do
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities with state workforce agencies and labor departments.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial discovery and relationship building to contract negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams on RFP strategy, policy alignment, and market intelligence.
- Build and document a repeatable sales playbook for state government engagement.
- Maintain strong relationships with program directors, procurement leads, and other key agency stakeholders.
- Provide market feedback to Product and leadership teams to inform GTM strategy.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Deep knowledge of the state workforce ecosystem, including agency structures and funding programs.
- Proven experience navigating state government procurement processes, including RFPs and MSAs.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles (6–12+ months) with high discipline.
- Strong consultative sales instincts and ability to earn credibility with skeptical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Direct experience selling SaaS or technology platforms to state workforce or labor agencies.
- Working knowledge of federal workforce funding programs like WIOA, RESEA, or TAA.
- Existing network of relationships with state workforce agency leadership.
- Experience working in a startup environment where processes are still being defined.
