Software Developer (React)

Location: Flexible hybrid work model in Oakville, Toronto, or Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Employees may work in person or virtually; regular office attendance is not required, but offices are available.

Salary: $85,500–$105,600 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own frontend feature development from state setup through component rendering using React.
• Integrate frontend applications with Go service endpoints and Python data pipelines.
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, prototypes, minimum viable products, and proofs of concept.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and improve code quality, organization, and automation.
• Use AI tools to accelerate implementation, generate unit tests, identify edge cases, and improve development workflows.
• Debug applications using call stacks, trace files, logs, and performance data; participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule if applicable.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software development, system design, and architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong frontend expertise with React, Redux, and TypeScript; strong JavaScript experience is acceptable with React proficiency.
• Practical exposure to, or willingness to work with, Go, Python, and SQL.
• Proficiency with Git or a similar distributed source-control system, including branch management and merge-conflict resolution.
• Ability to apply test-driven and security-driven development practices and integrate AI tooling into daily coding workflows.
