Director Of Accounting (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the San Francisco office 5 days a week

Salary: $210,000 – $260,000

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidation processes.
• Build and maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and scalable accounting policies.
• Lead the company through its first-year financial statement audit and establish IPO-ready controls.
• Research and document technical accounting positions in audit-ready memos.
• Design and implement AI-enabled automation to improve accounting efficiency and rigor.
• Partner with FP&A, People, and Legal teams to support business scaling.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and high-growth industry roles.
• CPA certification with deep technical US GAAP expertise.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Proven experience leading external financial statement audits.
• Hands-on experience implementing accounting systems and internal controls.
• Builder's mindset with the ability to manage both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with music royalties or IP-related accounting.
• Experience with IPO readiness, SOX compliance, or M&A integration.
• Demonstrated capability in building AI-enabled accounting workflows.
