Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; on-site. Travel up to 40% to mainly local client sites.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop HVAC and mechanical system designs for data centers, commercial, telecom, education, and other facility projects.
• Perform building surveys, HVAC documentation, load and energy calculations, equipment selection, and system design calculations.
• Prepare design documents, reports, studies, and project specifications.
• Research code compliance requirements and provide construction administration services.
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines and perform QA/QC reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Autodesk engineering tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines, manage multiple projects, and maintain strong organization and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to travel.
