Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Woodburn, Oregon, with the role description also referencing Corvallis, Oregon. Monday–Friday during normal business hours, nominally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Develop design and layout packages for HVAC, exhaust, hydronics, process chemical piping, gases, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
• Support high-tech manufacturing tool installations, tenant improvements, facility retrofits, and core infrastructure upgrades.
• Perform engineering calculations, select and size equipment and components, prepare specifications, and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate utility requirement documents and design packages with equipment manufacturers, tool owners, client stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support field visits, construction activities, submittal reviews, RFIs, and factory integration phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• EIT designation and active pursuit of Professional Engineer licensure.
• At least 3 years of mechanical facilities engineering experience with HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, or related systems.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must complete a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to perform active field walks and physical work at industrial and construction sites, including climbing, crawling, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools, cleanrooms, or advanced facility design.
• Industrial or manufacturing facility field experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and the Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code or equivalent state building codes.
