Mechanical Engineering Associate I

Location: Hybrid positions available in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, and Houston, Texas; U.S. citizenship required. Occasional travel may be required for site visits, field investigations, or project coordination.

Salary: $70,000–$82,500 per year.

What you will do

• Support mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Perform engineering calculations, technical analyses, system selection, equipment sizing, and layout development.
• Prepare construction drawings, design narratives, technical reports, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD, analysis and modeling software, and other discipline-specific tools.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and project teams to develop constructable designs.
• Incorporate redlines and review comments while supporting quality control, budgets, schedules, and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong interest in building systems design and applying engineering principles to real-world projects.
• Problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam or obtained Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Internship, co-op, academic, or project experience with HVAC, plumbing, or building systems design.
• Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, analysis and modeling software, or related engineering tools.
• Exposure to HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications, technology, or structural systems.
