What you will do
- Develop, write, and maintain Cerner queries and scripts to extract high-quality data.
- Serve as a primary contributor for Cerner development, focusing on vendor and revenue cycle data.
- Work extensively with clinical, hospital billing, and professional billing datasets.
- Collaborate with a small engineering team to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
- Translate business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability for key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States and willing to travel for business needs.
- 4+ years of experience with Cerner development.
- 6+ years of overall Data Engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience extracting data directly from Cerner.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes within a healthcare environment.
- Openness to innovation and AI to improve processes and patient experiences.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Cerner Command Language (CCL).
- Strong Microsoft SQL experience.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure, and Python.
- Prior experience supporting downstream analytics or operational workflows.
