TL;DR

Strategic Sales Manager (Solar/BESS): Driving profitable business growth for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage solutions across North America with an accent on complex solutions selling and senior-level relationship management. Focus on building strategic plans, managing large-scale sales cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology roadmaps with customer requirements.

Location: Must be based in the continental United States

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 base + $40,000 variable compensation (TTC $170,000 – $190,000)

What you will do

  • Develop and manage key accounts within the assigned territory, focusing on utility-scale PV and BESS opportunities.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with IPPs, EPCs, developers, and utilities.
  • Execute complex solutions selling approaches to drive technology alignment and roadmap development.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, product management, and engineering teams to ensure technical alignment.
  • Manage monthly pipeline forecasts and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Must be located within the continental United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial or technical field.
  • 5-10 years of successful sales or business development experience in advanced technology industries.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex customers in cross-functional matrix environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar/PV design, and utility grid operations.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% domestically.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or post-graduate certification in renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
