What you will do

• Lead a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and plant EHS policies, including PPE and LOTO protocols.
• Execute daily and weekly production schedules, managing work orders, tank changeovers, and resource allocation.
• Ensure product quality through in-process checks and parameter control (temperature, pH, viscosity, solids).
• Direct, coach, and develop operators and line leads through on-the-job training and performance feedback.
• Drive waste reduction and operational excellence using 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma (DMAIC).
• Coordinate with Maintenance, QA, EHS, and Supply Chain to resolve bottlenecks and meet customer commitments.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience (chemical processing strongly preferred), including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and Process Safety Management (PSM) training.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES production systems and Microsoft Office.
• Technical knowledge of chemical reactions, viscosities, and raw material behavior.
• Ability to work on the manufacturing floor in Florence, Kentucky.

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
• ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor certification.
• Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC) or HAZOP certification.
• PMP or equivalent change management certification.
