Software Development Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Guide, motivate, and grow a team of software developers solving complex problems in the financial services domain.
• Manage the team directly and indirectly through collaboration with Technical Lead Staff Engineers.
• Align team priorities and roadmaps with architects, product teams, and engineering leadership.
• Identify and remove impediments and risks to delivery across the organization.
• Plan professional growth for team members through 1-1s, performance reviews, and goal-setting.
• Hire top talent and provide technical and process guidance during delivery.

Requirements

• Must be located in Canada and available to work during EST/EDT hours.
• Proven experience leading a team of developers through successful software product delivery.
• Experience delivering microservice-driven, scalable, cloud-based applications.
• Strong working knowledge of Java, TypeScript, Ruby, or Python.
• Professional experience in agile development and continuous delivery best practices.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments domain or building scalable SaaS solutions.
• Solid knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and GCP.
• Experience in full-stack web application development.
• Project management or Scrum master certification/training.
• Experience in test automation or DevOps engineering.
