Project Manager – Software Implementation (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution & Benefits)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; flexibility to work in-office, virtually, or in a hybrid arrangement.

Salary: CAD 70,000–90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate software implementation delivery across configuration, data, QA, product, development, integration, operations, and client teams.
• Maintain project plans, action logs, RAID logs, milestone trackers, and status reports for leadership and clients.
• Facilitate working sessions, document decisions, track actions, and support accountability across teams.
• Identify risks and dependencies, develop mitigation approaches with senior leaders, and prepare client-facing updates.
• Support configuration, eligibility rules, enrollment, contributions, data migration, interfaces, testing, and operational readiness.
• Apply PMO standards and explore Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and AI tools to improve delivery, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of project management experience, ideally in pension, benefits administration, benefits technology, or software implementation.
• Foundational knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, hybrid, or mixed delivery methodologies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.
• Practical knowledge of plan rules, eligibility, enrollment, contributions, data exchange, interfaces, testing, and go-live readiness.
• Comfort using generative AI and automation tools for documentation, tracking, reporting, and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, or Health & Welfare benefits implementations.
• French language skills or experience supporting French-speaking clients and teams.
• Experience with platform implementations, client onboarding, enrollment cycles, data migration, or testing.
• PMP certification or progress toward certification.
