Project Manager – Software Implementation (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution & Benefits)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; flexibility to work in-office, virtually, or in a combination of both

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Coordinate software implementation delivery across configuration, data, QA, product, development, integration, operations, and client stakeholder teams.
• Maintain project plans, action logs, RAID logs, milestone trackers, status reports, and client-facing delivery materials.
• Facilitate working sessions and meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items and accountability.
• Identify risks and dependencies, support mitigation planning, and maintain alignment with senior project leads and clients.
• Support configuration, eligibility rules, enrollment, contributions, data migration, systems testing, interfaces, and operational readiness activities.
• Apply PMO governance and explore Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, generative AI, and automation tools to improve delivery and reporting.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of project management experience, ideally in benefits administration, pension, benefits technology, software implementation, or client-facing implementation projects.
• Foundational knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, hybrid, or combined project delivery methodologies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Practical understanding of plan rules, eligibility, enrollment, contributions, data exchange, interfaces, testing, and go-live readiness.
• Comfort using generative AI and automation tools for documentation, project tracking, reporting, and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, or Health & Welfare benefits implementation projects.
• French language skills or experience supporting French-speaking clients and teams.
• Experience with platform implementations, client onboarding, annual or open enrollment cycles, data migration, or testing.
• PMP certification or progress toward certification.
