Senior Project Manager (Information Technology)

Location: Hybrid role with on-site work in Toronto, Canada and work from home as required.

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, closure, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and success measures.
• Establish project governance, facilitate decision-making, provide status reporting, and escalate significant risks and issues.
• Build relationships with senior leaders, product leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams while influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Manage vendors, purchasing activities, quotes, approvals, contracts, renewals, and procurement documentation.
• Lead quality, change management, adoption, project close-out, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, tools, and best practices.
• Experience supporting procurement activities, including comparing quotes, coordinating approvals, managing renewals, and assessing value for money.
• Strong stakeholder leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools; experience with Smartsheet is an asset.

Nice to have

• PMP or another recognized project management certification.
• Experience with Smartsheet.
