What you will do

• Develop and execute safety strategies for autonomous system development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead and mentor a team of safety engineers through the full product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, data science, and systems engineering teams to ensure safe training and validation of machine learning models.
• Define safety targets and performance indices (SPI) across vehicle behaviors.
• Create and manage detailed functional safety cases according to UL 4600 and ISO 26262 standards.
• Communicate technical safety requirements and root cause analyses to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience as an engineer or in autonomous vehicle development.
• Demonstrated experience in safety case management from conception to release.
• Expertise in safety leadership with a combination of standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and UL 4600.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of complex problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• Functional Safety Engineer/Professional/Expert Certification.
• Experience with ADS integration.
• Proven track record as a Safety Manager through a complete product lifecycle.
