Local Training Standards Lead (Aviation Training)

What you will do

• Mentor and oversee the performance of instructors, examiners, tutors, mentors, and coaches.
• Coordinate and analyse audits, performance reviews, and instructor pilot observations to maintain instructional consistency, regulatory compliance, and training quality.
• Translate global training standards and enterprise initiatives into local procedures, schedules, and continuous-improvement actions.
• Deliver instructor training sessions online and in person, including foundational Civil Global IDT, and support training materials and courseware development.
• Provide subject-matter expertise to local instructors and harmonise standardisation policies across multiple training centres.
• Coordinate governance and communication with training standards specialists, lead instructors, training managers, the Head of Training, the Centre Leader, and the global standards team.

Requirements

• Hold or have held an ICAO ATPL or CPL licence.
• Hold or have held an FAA instructor certificate, a Part-FCL instructor certificate issued by an EASA member state, or an equivalent 900(c) qualification relevant to the training domain.
• Have extensive experience training multi-pilot aircraft pilots for professional licences, ratings, or certificates, including MCC and/or CRM.
• Have at least 3 years of experience delivering or managing instructor training in an ATO and/or AOC environment.
• Have working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations, including Part-FCL/ORA, CFR Part 61, 135, and 142.
• Demonstrate communication, stakeholder management, influencing, persuasion, and professional credibility, with the ability to lead remotely across multiple training centres.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple aviation domains, such as BAT, CAT, and FTO.
• Ability to support multiple business units and contribute to a broader training standards network.
