TL;DR

What you will do

  • Operate small unmanned aerial systems in field environments and follow flight and ground safety procedures.
  • Deliver theory and practical sUAS training for novice and advanced operators.
  • Develop, implement, and improve training curricula, lesson plans, and evaluation standards.
  • Plan and coordinate missions, including briefings, debriefings, aircrew resource management, and safety oversight.
  • Prepare mission packets and review weather, NOTAMs, SPINs, and local Airspace Control Plans.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, attend trade shows, and represent operational capabilities.

Requirements

  • Current FAA Part 107 license.
  • Associate’s degree in Aviation, Business, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience operating, maintaining, and integrating sUAS, plus at least 3 years of sUAS flight training experience.
  • At least 3 years leading teams or sections in special operations integrated with sUAS missions; military special operations experience is required.
  • Experience developing training curricula and instructing flight operations, mission planning, sensor integration, and emergency procedures.
  • US citizenship, a current passport, and eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance are required. ITAR/EAR-controlled work requires proof of US citizenship or permanent residence and no need for sponsorship.
  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, weekends and holidays, and short- or long-term projects away from home.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently in challenging environments.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as a military instructor or in Special Operations.
  • Hobby experience with FPV drones or remote-controlled aircraft.
  • Strong knowledge of military tactics, GPS, navigation, and map-and-compass use.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
