TL;DR

Business Development / Partnerships Lead (Fintech): Managing the end-to-end partnership motion for new product lines including home and motorcycle insurance with an accent on complex deal structuring and pipeline growth. Focus on identifying high-value partners, designing creative value propositions, and ensuring long-term partner success post-onboarding.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US or Canada)

Salary: $180k – $220k + Equity

What you will do

  • Build and manage the partnerships pipeline for new product verticals from initial outreach to successful onboarding.
  • Lead independent negotiations with insurance carriers to qualify fit and structure optimal value propositions.
  • Design creative, non-standard deal structures to unlock relationships with high-value, complex partners.
  • Own post-close partner success by working with internal teams to ensure ramp-up and long-term engagement.
  • Contribute to overall vertical strategy by providing ground-level market insights on partner requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy consulting.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Experience building "0-to-1" functions or launching new partnership categories.
  • Ability to independently engage and navigate large partner organizations and senior stakeholders.
  • Must be based in the United States or Canada.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level presentations.

Nice to have

  • Early-stage startup operating experience.
  • Background combining structured problem-solving (consulting) with sales execution.
