Senior Mechanical Project Manager (Industrial Processes)

Location: Decatur, Alabama, USA; on-site. Travel up to 5% to client and project sites.

What you will do

• Lead industrial and multidisciplinary process projects from inception through construction completion.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, risks, and resources across concurrent projects.
• Direct mechanical and piping designs, conceptual layouts, cost studies, design reviews, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineers and designers across disciplines to deliver safe, code-compliant designs.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, estimates, specifications, quotations, and contractor bid packages.
• Support field investigations, construction, startup, troubleshooting, commissioning, and client relationship development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Alabama Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
• 7+ years of mechanical or piping engineering and project management experience in industrial or process facilities.
• Experience leading projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing client-facing work.
• Knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, pumps, heat exchangers, process equipment, and ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, TEMA, and CEMA codes.
• Ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs; proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• NCEES record for multi-state licensure.
• Industrial or plant consulting experience.
• Field construction experience.
