TL;DR

Senior Data Product Owner (GCP/Fintech): Leading the design and delivery of high-impact data products for the Loans & Affordability Platform with an accent on modernising legacy data infrastructure and enabling data-driven lending decisions. Focus on building a scalable product-led approach to data and collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to ensure system reliability.

Location: Hybrid (Chester or Manchester, UK). Must spend at least two days per week at an office site.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-impact data products across the Loans & Affordability Platform.
  • Modernise the Loans platform and transition away from legacy data infrastructure to a scalable, product-led approach.
  • Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap, balancing strategic goals with iterative delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to turn complex data needs into high-value products.
  • Lead cross-functional agile teams to create clarity and momentum in delivery.
  • Champion strong data governance and improve data quality and consistency across solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Data Product Owner or Product Manager in banking or finance.
  • Expertise in GCP BigData technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Dataproc.
  • Strong knowledge of data-driven product development and agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing product roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
