Associate Legal Counsel

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance and the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors.
• Partner with client services and client legal and compliance teams to support safe access to knowledge.
• Draft and implement internal policies and procedures to manage business risk.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training.
• Advise on intellectual property, data privacy, technology, sanctions, regulatory compliance, employment, and taxation matters.
• Work with the Legal team and senior leadership on complex, novel, and multi-jurisdictional legal issues.

Requirements

• JD from a US law school.
• Attorney licensed to practice in New York.
• At least 3 years of experience at a top-tier US law firm.
• Experience handling transactional and non-transactional legal matters, working under pressure, and managing multiple deadlines.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience drafting and negotiating client-facing commercial contracts is a plus; litigation, arbitration, regulatory, securities, or corporate law experience is valuable.
