In-House Counsel (Technology)

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; onsite at Atlanta, GA 30324

Salary: $145,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary legal resource and manage the company’s day-to-day legal function.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on customer, commercial, vendor, supplier, partner, and confidentiality agreements.
• Partner with Sales and business leaders to support transactions while managing contractual and legal risk.
• Develop contract templates, standard terms, negotiation guidelines, approval processes, and fallback positions.
• Advise on employment, intellectual property, privacy, data security, corporate, and operational legal matters.
• Manage outside counsel, legal budgets, invoices, timelines, deliverables, and corporate legal records.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and eligibility to practice law in Georgia courts.
• Five or more years of relevant legal experience, including law firm experience.
• Strong commercial contract drafting, review, negotiation, legal research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with software, SaaS, technology, or technology-enabled companies is required.
• Government contracting experience is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software licensing, technology agreements, intellectual property, data privacy, and information security.
• Working knowledge of employment law and experience advising on HR-related legal matters.
