TL;DR
Co-ordinator, Assessment Operations (Education): Managing a small team to deliver diverse assessment activities with an accent on efficient service provision and continuous improvement. Location: Hybrid (Milton Keynes). Attendance in the office is required approximately once per week.
Salary: £27,319 to £30,378

What you will do
- Manage a small team of Assistants supporting various assessment activities including TMA, CMA, CME, and EMAs.
- Coordinate the production, review, and updating of procedures and documents for assessment processing.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to students and colleagues on assessment and academic conduct.
- Monitor and report on the performance of assessment activities, ensuring quality of customer responses.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in service delivery to maintain agreed standards.
- Maintain effective relationships across the University to ensure coordinated operational effort.
Requirements
- Experience of leading staff and motivating others.
- Previous clerical and IT experience, specifically with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience working in customer-focused environments with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to strict confidentiality and security standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be able to work from the Milton Keynes office approximately once per week.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of OU systems including CIRCE, VOICE, and OSCAR.
- Evidence of training and developing staff.
- Experience of monitoring workloads and key performance indicators.
