Commercial Administrator (Data Centre Construction)

What you will do

• Raise and manage purchase orders, support invoice processing, and resolve invoice queries.
• Track project spending, commitments, accruals, outstanding orders, budgets, and costs across multiple projects.
• Process supplier and subcontractor quotations, payment applications, onboarding, and payment documentation.
• Maintain contract registers, supplier records, commercial documentation, and project correspondence.
• Prepare meeting packs, reports, and documentation for commercial reviews and support document control.
• Coordinate with commercial managers, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in administration, finance, procurement, or commercial support within construction, or a Quantity Surveying degree with a completed placement or internship.
• Experience raising purchase orders and supporting payment processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including trackers, formulas, and data management.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, numeracy, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining accurate records.

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, infrastructure, housing, engineering, or the public sector.
• Understanding of subcontractor payment processes and commercial procedures.
• Experience in project-based environments and familiarity with ERP or financial systems.
