What you will do

• Implement practical data governance capabilities within a specific SHV Group's daily operations.
• Define and document data ownership roles, including data owners, stewards, and custodians.
• Establish routines for data quality management, access governance, and metadata documentation.
• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to align on definitions, rules, and decision-making.
• Develop reusable templates, playbooks, and accelerators for other SHV companies based on implementation learnings.
• Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, privacy, and security teams to improve the overall governance offering.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or business analysis.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Amsterdam.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and drive alignment among multiple business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong skills in structuring ambiguous problems and documenting complex processes.
• Good understanding of metadata, data quality, and access management.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or CDMP.
• Experience with tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
• Background in ESG, Finance, HR, or Supply Chain domains.
• Basic SQL, BI, or data platform knowledge.
• Familiarity with GDPR and other data protection principles.
