What you will do

• Develop complex 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and fabrication documentation for sheet metal, machined, welded, and mechanical components.
• Apply GD&T, datum structures, tolerance schemes, inspection requirements, and interface control documentation in line with BS 8888 and ISO GPS standards.
• Manage CAD models, assemblies, and WTPart structures in PLM, maintaining revision and lifecycle control.
• Process Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices while preserving continuity between CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and released configurations.
• Mentor junior designers and draughtsmen and maintain CAD standards, templates, and modelling best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in mechanical CAD design and detailing.
• Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX and SolidWorks, including part, assembly, sheet metal, and drawing modules.
• Strong working knowledge of PDM/PLM, complex assembly structuring, and BOM management.
• Comprehensive understanding of GD&T, BS 8888, ISO GPS standards, tolerance stacks, surface finishes, coatings, and marking requirements.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong engineering judgement, and effective communication skills.
