Engineering Drafter/Designer (SolidWorks)

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers to create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, schematics, layouts, and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Prepare, update, and maintain engineering drawings based on engineering inputs, manufacturing redlines, and design changes.
• Process Engineering Change Requests and maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and documentation standards.
• Support Bill of Materials creation, new product development systems, and industrial equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and cross-functional teams to clarify design intent and produce complete drawing packages.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating and maintaining mechanical drawings, layouts, and assemblies.
• Experience with Product Data Management systems and structured drawing release and revision workflows.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and incorporate mechanical, electrical, and structural inputs.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and the ability to apply GD&T correctly on drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and willingness to develop drafting skills for more complex engineering programs.
• Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience as a drafter.
• Experience creating Bills of Materials and producing structural layouts or wiring diagrams.
• Design and build experience in an industrial equipment environment.
