What you will do

• Manage engineers directly and coach team leads to develop them into stronger leaders.
• Audit and improve development processes to eliminate bottlenecks and increase team predictability and velocity.
• Define consistent standards for performance, feedback, career growth, and onboarding.
• Partner with Product and Marketing to manage engineering capacity and align output with company strategy.
• Influence architecture and technical direction while staying close enough to the code to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with the CTO to shape and communicate the overall engineering strategy across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Proven track record of developing senior engineers and team leads.
• Strong background in software development, architecture, and systems design.
• Comfortable with TypeScript and a React / Node.js stack.
• Must be based in Berlin to support a hybrid work model.
