What you will do
- Manage engineers directly and coach team leads to develop them into stronger leaders.
- Audit and improve development processes to eliminate bottlenecks and increase team predictability and velocity.
- Define consistent standards for performance, feedback, career growth, and onboarding.
- Partner with Product and Marketing to manage engineering capacity and align output with company strategy.
- Influence architecture and technical direction while staying close enough to the code to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with the CTO to shape and communicate the overall engineering strategy across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering with at least 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of developing senior engineers and team leads.
- Strong background in software development, architecture, and systems design.
- Comfortable with TypeScript and a React / Node.js stack.
- Must be based in Berlin to support a hybrid work model.

Hiring process
