What you will do

• Manage the full engineering lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, performance, and professional development.
• Partner with Trading leads to clarify priorities and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Oversee the technical health of the area, focusing on architecture, risk, and platform stability.
• Lead the agentic transition, helping engineers move from writing code to directing and reviewing AI agents.
• Represent the team in cross-functional forums and align technical direction with business outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven track record of developing engineers and building safe, high-performing teams.
• Domain fluency in energy markets or algorithmic trading (FinTech experience is a plus).
• Strong engineering background with the ability to make informed architecture and quality trade-offs.
• Interest in agentic engineering and a vision for human oversight in an AI-driven development process.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical engineers and senior leadership.
