Senior Engineering Manager (Traveltech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with regular office collaboration in Berlin.

What you will do

• Own the Supply Domain from engineering and delivery perspectives.
• Manage, lead, hire, and develop engineering teams and people leaders.
• Drive integration efficiency and accelerate feature delivery without linearly increasing headcount.
• Partner with TPM teams and take ownership of product areas through on-time launches and operational excellence.
• Set performance goals, track progress, manage risk, and lead complex technical initiatives.
• Own architectural design within the domain.

Requirements

• Experienced people leader who has previously managed people leaders and supported organizational growth.
• Well-rounded engineer able to address technical issues directly when needed.
• Strong product mindset and hands-on builder mentality, with willingness to take calculated risks and drive strategies through execution.
• Pragmatic approach to team optimization and performance management.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with genuine engineering transformation.
• Proven experience identifying top talent and driving active hiring processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby, Python, Google Cloud, relational databases, Kafka, Redis, Jira, software development best practices, and distributed microservices architecture.
