What you will do

  • Lead and develop a software engineering team of approximately 15 engineers focusing on the Website Builder Application.
  • Accountable for architectural direction, code quality, reliability, and continuous evolution of the product.
  • Drive the "AI first" initiative by embedding AI methods and tools into daily engineering and product workflows.
  • Coach and grow engineers through goal setting and continuous learning formats.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and stakeholders to shape priorities and create business impact.
  • Act as the on-site representative for the Cologne development office, managing culture and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience leading software engineering teams of 15+ people, preferably in SaaS or web applications.
  • Strong technical background in modern web technologies, distributed systems, and agile delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and GenAI tools.
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality products at scale.
  • Strong verbal and written German skills are required.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Cologne office due to the hybrid model and site-representative duties.
