Senior Engineer, DevOps (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: United States; remote. US citizenship or Green Card required, with US residency for at least the past 3 years. The role requires eligibility for a Public Trust position and successful completion of a US Government background investigation.

Salary: $128,700–$153,400 per year

What you will do

• Contribute to architecture, technology, framework, and tooling decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and help estimate, prioritize, and plan development work.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code for AWS microservices and APIs.
• Build monitoring, logging, performance optimization, and observability solutions to improve system resilience.
• Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and CVE remediation.
• Trace errors from logs to the system components requiring changes and support secure, reliable deployments.

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS EKS/Kubernetes and AWS networking, including VPCs, subnetting, security groups, IAM roles, and network configuration.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Go, Python, or TypeScript and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECS/Fargate, RDS, EventBridge, CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF.
• Experience with GitHub or other version control systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to meet US Public Trust security requirements; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS ECS/ECR, Lambda, EC2, Step Functions, CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty, or Wiz.
• Experience with AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
• Security-focused DevSecOps experience, including building security into pipelines and infrastructure stacks.
